A few weeks ago I was approached by the arts editor of Beat Magazine to write a weekly opinion piece. After much thought about what is important enough to me to write about so often, I decided I’d concern myself with modern-day morality.
In an age where religious tenants are becoming obsolete in the Western world, the questions of right and wrong surface in this growing secular society. The topics I will cover will range from charity to chastity, from stealing to STIs. I hope to question situations that have a moral interest and understand what it means to be a good person in a big Western city such as Melbourne.
Here’s the first one on giving money to beggars. Please comment and share your thoughts on the Beat site: here.
